More Details
Elora grew up outside Toronto, Canada in a township filled with horse estates for her horse-loving heart and open skies to dream big. She was drawn to stories from a young age through books, movies, manga and video games that ignited her own inspiration. One of her most beloved books was Black Beauty to absolutely nobody's surprise.
She persuade a career in film both in front of and behind the camera throughout her childhood and young adult years before switching back to the written word in her early twenties. Before making the switch, she had the pleasure of working on shows for Scott Brothers Entertainment and Shaftesbury Films and training at renowned acting schools like RADA and LAMDA in London, England during their summer programs.
After making the switch from film, she attended Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), completing her BA in Creative Industries, and spent many hours writing her stories for the pursuit of traditional publication during that time. Finally, in 2023, she sold her debut to Little, Brown Books for Young Readers in the US and Hachette Children's Group in the UK which would make her thirteen-year-old Twilight-fanatic self collapse in excitement.
Elora now splits her time (nearly) evenly between her family's home in Grey-Bruce, Ontario and St. John's, Newfoundland thanks to her younger self falling face-first in love with a kind-hearted Newfie who only sometimes teases her for her odd quirks and ramble-y monologues about the weather, her hair, and what dream she had the night before.
